Venice Resident asks Mr. Rosendahl for more staff...

Venice resident and Santa Monica business owner Carla Barrett wrote to the editor of "The Argonaut" because she would like City Councilman Bill Rosendahl to increase his staff for the Venice area.

How nice that Los Angeles City Councilman Bill Rosendahl can increase his staff in various areas of his district [The Argonaut, November 16th, 2006. "Rosendahl increases and reorganizes staff"].

I also want to say that it is a shame that he cannot find a way to increase his staff in the Venice area that is not directly on the beach - an area that has a large problem with alcohol, drug abuse and prostitution.

If Rosendahl had additional stall in Venice, his office might have been aware that there are four drug treatment or disbursement centers on Lincoln Boulevard between Commonwealth Avenue and Lake Street, all within a half mile of each other - rather a high density for businesses that must be licensed by the City of Los Angeles.

For those of us who live on either side of Lincoln Boulevard and the people who run businesses on Lincoln Boulevard, we ask Rosendahl to take a good hard look ate the ongoing problems on Lincoln. I ask him to drive down the alleys behind Lincoln Boulevard and streets that branch off it into the adjacent neighborhood and see the chaos and mess that are left by the "service resistant" population.
